A system that regulates the production of sex hormones in men and women. It involves the interaction of the hypothalamus, pituitary gland and testicles in men and ovaries in women as well as gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinising hormone (LH).
