Transparent costs

Your fertility journey

Trying to conceive can be medically and emotionally complex. That's what makes the first step so important: a clear diagnosis that shows where you stand and which path is most likely to lead to your goal.

At Cada, we start by building clarity through a fertility assessment or by reviewing your existing results. From there, we work with you on a treatment recommendation, with full transparency on chances, timeline and cost.

Good to know: in many cases, the path leads through IVF or ICSI. Where clinically indicated, preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) can further increase the chances of a successful pregnancy and reduce the risk of miscarriage.

Our Treatments

Our treatment options in Zurich and Lucerne are tailored to your individual needs.

Fertility Check

A fertility analysis provides you with straightforward insights into your fertility within 7 days, regardless of whether you want to start a family now or later.

Why is early diagnosis so important?

Fertility in women declines steadily from the early 30s onwards. With each passing year, the chances of a natural pregnancy decrease and the risk of miscarriage increases. However, sperm quality can also be impaired in men without any symptoms being present. The earlier we make a sound diagnosis, the more targeted our treatment can be and the higher your chances of success.

Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT)

Reducing the risk of miscarriage through genetics

Image

From the age of 40 onwards, the risk of miscarriage rises to over 40%. With PGT-A, a genetically normal embryo can be selected if medically indicated, reducing the risk of miscarriage to approximately 10%.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Discover answers to the most common queries about Cada here. Should your question remain unresolved, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly.

Is the initial consultation at Cada free of charge?

Icon

Yes. During the initial consultation, we take the time to discuss your medical history, answer your questions and assess your personal situation. The next step is usually a fertility analysis, the results of which form the basis for an individual treatment recommendation.

What treatments does Cada offer?

Icon

We specialise in fertility treatments (IVF, ICSI, IUI, hormone therapy), genetic testing (PGT) and fertility preservation (social freezing and sperm freezing). We do not offer annual gynaecological examinations; for these, please continue to consult your gynaecologist.

Are the costs covered by health insurance?

Icon

Fertility analysis is covered by health insurance, but costs may apply depending on your excess and deductible. Fertility treatments such as IVF, ICSI, PGD and social freezing are self-pay services. At Cada, all costs are transparent and there are no hidden additional costs. You will receive a complete overview during your free initial consultation, and payment by instalments is possible.

Is there an age limit for treatments at Cada?

Icon

We do not offer treatment to women over the age of 45, as the chances of success are greatly reduced at this age and egg donation is not permitted in Switzerland.

Can same-sex couples be treated?

Icon

Since the introduction of ‘marriage for all’, married female couples in Switzerland have had access to sperm donation. This service is not currently available at Cada, but we would like to offer it in the future. We offer social freezing for everyone, including lesbian couples. For gay couples, fertility treatment is currently not legally possible in Switzerland.

How do I get to Cada?

Icon

Cada has two locations: a clinic in Zurich and a practice in Lucerne.

Cada Fertility Clinic Zurich Bellerivestrasse 36, 8008 Zurich, in a quiet location right by Lake Zurich in the Seefeld district.

By tram or bus: the 'Höschgasse' stop is just a 5-minute walk away. From Zurich main station, you can reach us in around 15 minutes by tram.

By car: four outdoor parking spaces are available on site, two directly in front of the building and two accessible via Lindenstrasse.

Cada Fertility Practice Lucerne Kapellgasse 19, 6004 Lucerne.

Reachable within a few minutes' walk from Lucerne main station. Parking is available in nearby car parks.

Can I still be treated if I live further away?

Icon

Yes. Cada has two locations: a clinic in Zurich and a practice in Lucerne. Consultations, fertility assessments and check-ins during your treatment take place at the location you choose. Ideally the one closest to where you live or work.

Only for procedures such as egg collection or embryo transfer do you come to our clinic in Zurich, where our IVF laboratory and dedicated procedure rooms are based.

Patients from other cantons are just as welcome. We plan appointments so they fit into your daily life as smoothly as possible.

How can I contact Cada?

Icon

You can reach us by email at [email protected] or by telephone on +41 44 505 14 44. We are available by telephone on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Please feel free to call us if you have any questions in advance or would like to make an appointment by telephone. Alternatively, you can book a free initial consultation directly online.

Is it still realistic to want children after the age of 40?

Icon

Yes, pregnancy is still possible after the age of 40. However, the natural chances per cycle decrease significantly and the risk of miscarriage increases. From the age of 43 onwards, the natural probability of conception per cycle is less than 5%. We therefore recommend prompt reproductive medical assessment.

In many cases, IVF or ICSI is the most sensible option. Genetic testing of the embryos (PGT) can also increase the chances of success and reduce the risk of miscarriage. We treat women up to and including the age of 44.

What are the chances of success with Cada?

Icon

Our positive pregnancy rates per cycle and patient are among the highest of fertility clinics in Switzerland and Europe. Individual chances depend on various factors, such as age, egg reserve and diagnosis. We will assess your situation in a personal consultation.

What quality certifications does Cada have?

Icon

Cada is a member of leading reproductive medicine associations, including ESHRE, FMH, QUAAB and SGRM. We are subject to strict quality controls that ensure the highest medical standards and optimal treatment results.
