I spent years researching oocyte quality. Applying that knowledge in the lab every day for our patients, with the equipment we have at Cada, is for me the best part of the work.

A clinical embryologist with a PhD in reproductive biology, Maria Soares brings scientific depth to the laboratory work at Cada. She researched oocyte ageing and follicular fluid at the University of Coimbra and at ETH Zurich before moving into clinical embryology, most recently at the University Hospital Basel and at Eugin in Coimbra. Her focus is on oocyte quality, vitrification and connecting current research with daily laboratory practice.
